International Pre-buys

If you’re in the top tier of filmmakers worldwide with an exceptional proposal that meets the calibre of the Storyville strand, we want to hear from you.

Knowledge will pre-buy rights to a small number of documentaries by non-Canadian producers.

We are looking for the most innovative, talked-about English language (or English version) films being made in the world today. Most will be destined for our Storyville timeslot, and secondarily for Masters and Aperture. What resonates most are universal stories that have relevance or appeal to an audience in British Columbia.

We will review a proposal and consider a pre-buy once the project has been developed and rights are being pre-sold.
