A Good Man
Storyville
Chris Rohrlach is not your typical Australian sheep farmer. Willing to try anything to keep wife Rachel out of long-term care, he decides to open a brothel. Filmmaker Safina Uberoi captures the humour and tenderness that sustains this remarkable relationship.

A Good Man
Just saw the program and must admit that the subject is indeed a very good man. To look after the woman he loved and loves, to marry her following a debilitating stroke, have two children and to care for his family is very courageous. Not many people would have the strength, moral courage and commitment that he has and continues to have for so many years. The people that are in their lives do as much as they can but it is a daily struggle and difficult on all parties. You can see that there is genuine love in the family relationship and the couple do interact with each other; they laugh at jokes and you can sense the wife knows what is going on but is trapped by her physical self. It is so nice to see that, despite the struggles of day-to-day living, they are committed to each other by choice. The older son has grown up very quickly just because of the family life. The worry close family and friends have for the husband are legitimate as he has taken on a very heavy load emotionally, physically and financially. I wish them all well and thank the producers for making this documentary. Thank you for airing it.
