Performed in the grandeur of Berlin's foremost opera house, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Mozart Celebration is dedicated to the life's work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This one-time-only gala concert features exuberant Mozart pieces, performed by some of the world's leading singers and musicians, including Nikolaj Znaider, Thomas Quasthoff, Sylvia Schwartz, and the Staatskapelle Berlin. Conductor and pianist Julien Salemkour puts on a stellar performance, despite being a last-minute replacement for Daniel Barenboim, the general music director of the Berlin Staatsoper Unter den Linden, who fell ill thirty minutes before the performance.
