Should medical staff be able to sue patients?
Submitted by: Moderator

Violent patients are nothing new in the health-care profession.

In BC alone, health-care staff make up the largest percentage of workplace violence claims.

With that in mind, should health-care staff be able to take legal action against unruly patients? In what circumstances should that ability be nullified and at what point would you draw the line for what should be actionable and what should not?
