Smaller communities do not have the option of going elsewhere, like one-hospital towns. In some of these communities the walk-in clinics are non-existent or are over-run and not open to new visits past late afternoon. We need more walk-in clinics to take the pressure off the ER's. And make them 24hour clinics. Also, what about having a walk-in clinic at each hospital? Patients can be triaged there and sent on to ER if deemed necessary.
