Brain Tumour operation circ 1952

I was about 14/15 year old when my Father had a brain tumour detected about the size of an egg and later operated on successfully by I believe a Dr. Turnbull. As my mother was incapacitated, I attended his operation--seems to me I signed a consent to operate because the tumour became dislodged from diagnosing and had to be dealt with immediately. A very trying time for him and I. I believe this was a very new and unusual operation for the time however, after radiation treatment, he survived for another 27 years.
