As a teen, I was admitted to VGH for my first jaw surgery. They had called my mom the day before and told her that there was a bed for me the following day. I was shocked and scared when my mom told me. I cried and cried. I kept saying I wasn't ready, but I was actually ready. That night, I had a bad night because I was so frightened. The next day when I was admitted to the hospital, I reluctantly got into my hospital gown. I was still so frightened and nervous. My legs kept shaking with fear. It didn't stop till I was put asleep. The surgery lasted four hours and I didn't see my parents till late afternoon. I kept asking for them. I stayed in the hospital for four days.

The second time I was in the hospital was 2 weeks later to do some correction to the first jaw surgery. I was admitted through the emergency. I had to wait for a long time before I went up to the OR. While I was waiting, I was hook up to an IV and that hurt. I also wonder if I would see any serious trauma like the show ER, but I didn't. It was fairly quiet. This time my surgery lasted about an hour and a half. I was in the hospital this time for 2 nights .
