Aaron Woodley Joins British Columbia's Knowledge Network

BURNABY, B.C. - Knowledge Network announces Aaron Woodley’s appointment as its new Director of Network Brands, overseeing brands and promotion for British Columbia’s public broadcaster.

Aaron is a feature film director and writer who has worked in both animation and live action. He directed a number of award-winning short films and his feature debut, Rhinoceros Eyes, won the Discovery Award at the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival. His other films include Tennessee, an indie road-drama and the thriller The Entitled. His latest projects are both animated features - Spark: A Space Tail, and Arctic Justice to be released late 2019.

“Aaron has had a distinguished career as a filmmaker. His experience with both animation and live action is ideally suited to supporting the creative evolution of Knowledge Network’s brands,” said Rudy Buttignol, President and CEO of Knowledge Network Corporation. “He is a welcome addition to our talented team as we build on the success of our commercial-free, viewer supported public television and streaming services for adults and young kids.”

“I’m honoured to become a part of the Knowledge family, especially at such an exciting time with the network expanding its reach through new streaming platforms,” said Aaron Woodley. “Some of my personal favorites include Knowledge Originals - an incredible collection of thought-provoking and entertaining documentaries you can’t see anywhere else. It’s a wonderful thing to be a part of.”
