Archaeologist Neil Oliver heads to the shore to explore stories of Australia’s magnificent coastline. Joined by a team of experts in such diverse fields as paleontology, marine ecology and landscape architecture, he’ll discover this island continent’s wild places, including the Kimberley coast and a bizarre bubble-gum pink lake on Middle Island. Other highlights include the surprising Cornish heritage in South Australia’s ‘Copper Triangle’, Captain Cook’s run of luck on the Great Barrier Reef, and how albatross on windswept Bass Strait are assisting scientific research.
