Midsomer Murders
Season 18: Ep: 1 "Habeas Corpus"
It may be a first for Midsomer Murders; the series, which is renowned for its imaginative and bizarre ways of killing off characters, doesn't open with a murder this season. There is, though, a body, and when it goes missing, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson are drawn into a macabre world of body-snatching as they search out the villain. New forensic pathologist Kam Karimore quickly gets off on the wrong foot with Nelson when they meet at the crime scene. They'll all need to work together if they're to solve this season's set of ingenious, ill-fated murders, with stories that involve mysterious lights over a UFO hotspot, daredevil stunts on a fair's Wall of Death, the discovery of famous bones, deadly statues at a newly opened sculpture park, and a Tour de Midsomer cycle race.
