Volcano: An Inquiry Into the Life and Death of Malcolm Lowry
Donald Brittain's documentary presents the life of British novelist Malcolm Lowry and the creation of his famous novel Under the Volcano, now considered a classic of 20th century literature. The film tells Malcolm Lowry's story through his own words, sensitively read by the late British actor Richard Burton, and through interviews with family and friends who were unable to save him from self-destruction and his descent into madness.
