Alex deals with the fallout as some of her actions catch up with her. Plans for the army base expansion are the final straw; she resolves to not play by the rules when she returns to Canberra.

Alex and the prime minister embark on a game of political cat-and-mouse. Alex needs help from JC but when they arrange to meet, JC gets spooked and runs.

In pursuit of justice, Alex declares war on her party. Faced with the prime minister's double dealing, she engineers a plan that could have catastrophic consequences for the government.
