BURNABY, B.C. - British Columbia’s Knowledge Network has commissioned a second season of the popular documentary series Emergency Room: Life and Death at VGH. The ambitious and gripping series brought in record breaking audiences for the public broadcaster when it debuted in January 2014.
HAIDA GWAII: ON THE EDGE OF THE WORLD, commissioned by British Columbia’s Knowledge Network and produced by B.C. filmmakers Charles Wilkinson, Tina Schliessler, and Kevin Eastwood, has won the Best Canadian Feature Documentary Award at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto.
The 2015 Canadian Screen Awards nominees in film, television and digital media were announced this week by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Three Knowledge Network commissions were among those nominated.
