Slow Train Through Africa

Griff Rhys Jones embarks on five great rail adventures, travelling from the coastal plains of Morocco in North Africa, through the great deserts of Egypt and Sudan in East Africa, down the savannahs of Kenya and Tanzania, across the vast forests of Zambia and, finally, to the southernmost tip of South Africa. He shares his experiences on and off the rails, and introduces us to the remarkable people he meets along the way.
